About HourTally

HourTally is a set of free calculators for everyone who keeps track of time: employees checking a paycheck, managers filling in timesheets, freelancers billing by the hour.

How we keep the numbers right

Every tool runs on one tested calculation module. Before each release an automated test suite checks known answers — time cards past midnight, quarter-hour rounding, federal and California overtime, decimal hours — so a total is never off by a minute.

Each language version uses its own country’s rules: the 40-hour week in the US, the ArbZG break rules in Germany, the 35-hour week in France, the CLT in Brazil and the Labor Standards Act in Japan.

Calculations, not legal advice

Results show what the times you enter add up to under the rule you choose. Your contract, collective agreement and local law decide what you are owed.
